Easter Seals programs across the country provide a wide variety of interventions that help individuals of all abilities, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Orthopedic Clinic is a service provided to enrolled clients of Easter Seals DuPage & Fox Valley. It is structured as a team consultation with input from an orthopedic surgeon, orthotist, the client's physical therapist, and the client's family. Issues addressed usually center on specific issues of service delivery, orthotics, impending surgery and second opinions.
Enrolled Clients of Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region who have orthopedic concerns, need new orthotics, and/or a second opinion.
The doctor usually starts with interview of the parent(s) and therapist and observation of the client. He then will examine the client’s range of motion, strength, gait, etc and offer his opinions. The orthotist will offer his expert opinion regarding the need for and the type of orthotics for the client, if warranted.
