Easterseals is Volleying BACK from COVID-19

July 7, 2020

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic and concern for the health of our community, Easterseals is transforming its annual Volleyball Challenge to the “Easterseals/CAI VolleyBACK from COVID” virtual event. The event is critical to Easterseals as it struggles to recover from the impact of the coronavirus in order to move forward with its mission to provide life-changing services for children and adults with disabilities in the local community. Easterseals welcomes the continued support from Title Sponsor, CAI, of this virtual fundraising event.

“Although we can’t hold the event as planned this year at the 76ers Fieldhouse, the need for the funding that the Volleyball Challenge raises each year is greater than ever,” Easterseals Board Member and Chair of the Easterseals Volleyball Challenge Committee, Christine Sauers, said. “We are asking the sponsors, teams, elected officials and the community as a whole to help Easterseals “VolleyBACK from COVID” because the families we serve depend on Easterseals services.”

Virtual fundraising for the VolleyBACK from COVID event will run through July and August, with a finale celebration on the morning of August 22, 2020 at Easterseals headquarters at 61 Corporate Circle, in New Castle, DE. (This will be a physically distanced and mask friendly event.)

The virtual challenge will feature a “limited edition” VolleyBACK from COVID t-shirt for donations of $25 and over, additional prizes and incentives for fundraising and more. Top individual and top team fundraising prizes will be awarded.
