Easterseals & A.C. Moore Launch Spring Campaign

March 17, 2017

Easterseals and A.C. Moore are ensuring all children have the opportunity to succeed in the earliest years of life in an easy and crafty way through this spring’s Crafting A Better World campaign. A.C. Moore is teaming up with Easterseals’ Make the First Five Count® to help young children in their communities get the important Easterseals services they need to live happy and healthy lives. A.C. Moore’s in-store campaign runs March 19th through April 15th.

“Through the ‘Crafting A Better World’ campaign, children can learn about people who have disabilities and the public can donate to help local people find independence through Easterseals services,” Kenan J. Sklenar, President/CEO of Easterseals, said. “The A.C. Moore campaign is a great way to engage customers and the community. We hope it is a partnership that continues for many years to come.”

Since 2010, A.C. Moore has raised over $25,480 for Easterseals locally and nearly $1 million nationally, in support of Easterseals’ Make the First Five Count® initiative. Make the First Five Count offers online resources, including a free screening tool, to help parents monitor their child’s progress in reaching development milestones in the first five years of life. So far, Easterseals and A.C. Moore have helped nearly 60,000 parents, grandparents and other loved ones take the next step in ensuring their child’s wellness.

“As a company deeply involved in our local communities, A.C. Moore shares Easterseals commitment to giving our nation’s young children the best possible start in life so they can reach for- and realize- their potential,” said Pepe Piperno, owner and CEO, A.C. Moore. “We are honored to continually support such a wonderful organization, giving customers of all ages the opportunity to express their creativity, while raising awareness and critically important funds to help children living with autism and other disabilities and their families.”

Additionally, Easterseals will be launching a video featuring Easterseals children making a craft. A link accompanying the video will be used to connect viewers to a donation page to contribute as well as our in-store donations.
