Easterseals & A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc., Launch Crafting A Better World Spring Campaign

April 10, 2019

This spring, there is an easy and crafty way to ensure all children have the right tools to succeed in the earliest stages of life. For the tenth consecutive year, A.C. Moore and Easterseals are teaming up to support child wellness, growth and happiness through their first five years of development through the Crafting A Better World campaign. Both the Wilmington and Dover locations are participating.

Consumers visiting participating A.C. Moore Arts and Crafts stores between now and April 20 will have the opportunity to donate to Easterseals’ Make the First Five Count® initiative to help young children in their communities get the important Easterseals services they need to live happy and healthy lives.

A.C. Moore has raised $1.2 million nationally in support of Easterseals’ Make the First Five Count® initiative since 2010. Make the First Five Count offers online resources, including a free screening tool, to help parents monitor their child’s progress in reaching developmental milestones in the first five years of life.

“We know that the first five years of life are critical in a child’s development and long-term success,” said Kenan J. Sklenar, President/CEO, Easterseals. “Thanks in part to A.C. Moore generosity, we are able to offer this important screening tool to families, which can make a critical difference in the lives of so many children.”

“Over the past nine years, with the support of our incredible customers, we are proud to have raised $1.2 million dollars to support Easterseals and its services for children living with disabilities,” says A.C. Moore CEO Pepe Piperno. “These funds will help ensure families have the right resources to monitor their child’s development and help children in our communities reach for, and realize, their full potential.”
