Get Involved and Support Easter Seals

EventsHelping people with disabilities is what we do at Easter Seals, but we can't do it alone. One way to get involved is to attend a caregiver workshop, put together a volleyball team, sit on an event-planning committee, or pitch in on-site at an event -- there's something for everyone. Visit this site often for updated information on events in your area.

Another way to support people with disabilities is to volunteer your time, talent or expertise. Learn more here about volunteer opportunities.

Respite Grant Funding Still Available!

Caregiver burnout puts your physical and mental health at risk. Respite allows you the time to relax, clear your mind, and find some peace in your busy life. Through Easterseals respite programs, partially funded by the Division of Services for Aging and Adults with Physical Disabilities, you could qualify for grant funding to pay for care of your loved ones while you get a break. Applications for Lifespan Respite funding for those caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia are still being accepted. Click here to complete an online application.

If you are a grandparent or other non-parent relative over 55 raising children who aren’t your own, you may qualify for respite grant funding as well. Click here to complete an application, or call the Community Outreach Program at (302) 221-2087 to complete over the phone.
