Rocky Mountain Village’s summer camp program starts in Mid-May and runs to Mid-August, with a week of staff training provided for all staff members. Campers come for one week sessions. Campers check-in alphabetically on Sundays from 1pm-3pm, they check-out at noon on Fridays. Staff is then off from Friday at 2pm to Sunday at noon. Each week is different at Rocky Mountain Village and we partner with many contract groups such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Campers can chose their activities daily but must travel with their cabin for at least one activity per day. Campers are placed in cabins and assigned to counselors based on age, disability and placement requests from the campers.
The counselor assigned to a camper reads their file and also has a chance to ask questions during check-in to better understand their campers needs. This counselor will travel with their camper to all activities and depending on camper assistance needs, the counselor may be assigned up to two other campers from the same cabin for the week.
