Developmental therapy at Easter Seals consists of global evaluations and therapy for children from birth to age three who are referred by the Early Intervention System. Evaluations focus on five areas of development: cognitive, motor, communication, self-help and personal-social skills. Therapy services are provided in individual and group settings.
Children who have global developmental delays, who need extensive educational programming, and children who need intensive in-home services may benefit from developmental therapy.
Developmental Therapy is provided by Easter Seals staff who are credentialed by the State of Illinois Early Intervention System. DT’s must have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Therapists have access to a comprehensive team of therapists including physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, counselors, and medical directors. When you choose Easter Seals, your child benefits from the knowledge of our entire team.
