Timber Pointe Outdoor Center

TPOC Fall Family Flyer

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is hosting its first ever Fall Family Camp, October 12-14 and we would like your family to participate!

For families dealing with the effects of having a  child with a disability, time spent at camp is a wonderful way to relax for a weekend. As a family, you will be able to witness and participate with your child or children going down the zip line, riding a horse and so much more. It will give your family a chance to have fun, forget about your child's disability and to meet other families who understand what you are going through. Timber Pointe will create an environment in which participants will gain and learn new tools to help families become stronger.

In order to apply, your child must be between the ages of 2-16 years old with a disability. You are allowed to bring up to three siblings. Cousins or friends may NOT substitute for a sibling. At least one parent or guardian must attend Family Camp and a maximum of two parents or guardians may attend. The retreat is $300 for the first two registrants and $50 for each additional family member. This price includes housing, all meals, and activities for the entire family.

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center at a Glance

Owned and operated by Easterseals Central Illinois, accredited by the American Camp Association, and located on the shoreline of Lake Bloomington, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is the premier resource in the state of Illinois for providing specialized outdoor recreational, experiential and family programs for individuals with disabilities and illnesses in a fun, safe and accessible environment.

In addition to these inclusive programs, we offer integrated programming for typically-developing siblings and peers.  Whatever the need, it is said that Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is a magical place serving some of the neatest people in the world.

Timber Pointe Outdoor Center offers programs throughout the year.  Summer programming, in particular, gives way to many opportunities for children and adults.  Over 1,200 participants will attend on or more programs in a given summer.  These programs include Easterseals residential and day programs, Adventure Day Camp, contracted partner groups and rental groups.

Each session includes traditional camp activities such as swimming, fishing, hiking, canoeing, a pontoon boat ride, arts & crafts, target sports, barnyard animals, high ropes, zip-line and horseback riding.  We strive to create an experience that is inclusive, stimulating and educational while providing opportunities that might otherwise seem impossible due to physical limitations, developmental delays or illnesses.
