Splashercise is a warm water exercise class for children with disabilities or specific diagnoses age six through eighteen. The class is led by a licensed therapist who will focus on age-appropriate strengthening, range of motion and stretching, weight bearing, balance and endurance activities in a warm water medium. Participants who will benefit from the class may include children or adolescents with status post orthopedic surgery, juvenile arthritis, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, diabetes and asthma. Participants must be able to maintain head above water and stand in 3-4 feet of water (exceptions may be made for certain diagnoses). A physician consent form is required. Cost is $65.00 for six-week sessions. Classes are on Tuesday at 5:15-6:00 p.m.
