Thomas L. LeClair is the Vice President of Development for Easterseals. He is an accomplished executive with 27 years of experience in successful resource and relationship cultivation, donor solicitation and stewardship, diverse board development, staff, volunteer and vendor management, capital campaigns and system integration. Tom is skilled in ethically stewarding major gifts, corporate and foundation grants, managing annual and planned giving programs and donor relations.
Tom developed two new departments during his tenure at Easterseals to set the stage for the capital campaign. Tom introduced both a major gifts program and communications/marketing department resulting in employees constantly immersed in the mission and engaged with donors manage this scope of work. He has vast experience as the Chief Development Officer for The Hope Institute for Children and Families where he led all fundraising and marketing programs, increasing annual revenue to $3.5 million in six years. Tom nurtured 75 major donor relationships resulting in $8.5 million in outright gifts and $4.1 million in estate income. Tom developed a new major gift department at Catholic Extension Society when he acted as their Director of Major Gifts. He identified, cultivated and solicited 415 major donors and prospects across 38 states raising $3.5 million.
Tom also served as the Director of Development for Aspire, Archbishop Quigley Seminary and Joseph Academy. During his tenure at Archbishop Quigley Seminar, Tom raised $4 million for a capital campaign. He also served as the Founding Board Member of Francis Xavier Warde School, where he oversaw the organization’s first capital campaign.
