John Anos is a Managing Director and Head of Deutsche Bank’s chemical industry investment banking practice in the Americas. He is also a senior member of Deutsche Bank’s Chicago office supporting the Bank’s Midwest corporate finance effort.
Mr. Anos has been advising on merger, acquisition and divestiture assignments, as well as debt and equity financing transactions for 19 years. He joined Deutsche Bank in 1997 and helped build a strong domestic franchise to compliment the Bank’s global practice. Mr. Anos has successfully executed transactions for U.S. clients including The Dow Chemical Company, Blackstone, Lyondell Chemical Company, International Paper, Solutia, Honeywell, Dupont, and Univar. Mr. Anos has also worked on several assignments for international clients including BASF AG, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (“SABIC”) and Chemchina. Over the past three years, Mr. Anos has been involved in over $25 billion of transactions, including advising Lyondell Chemical Company and its Board on its sale to Basell N.V. in one of the largest chemical industry M&A transactions ever; advising International Paper on the sale of its Arizona chemicals subsidiary; and, advising and financing the take-private of Univar N.V. by CVC Capital Partners. Mr. Anos graduated from Boston University 1989 with a degree in Business Administration and received his Juris Doctor from Loyola (Chicago) in 1997. Mr. Anos resides in Hinsdale, IL with his wife Artemis and their three daughters.
