The primary responsibility is to provide technical assistance through coaching, training, and consulting to administrators, educators, clinicians, paraprofessionals, and families. Work collaboratively with district and school administration and other school staff to implement a range of evidence based practices and develop the supports and strategies to meet the needs of the students with autism and other related disabilities.
- Communicate program philosophy, goals, and objectives to various audiences.
- Assist with the expanding existing district contracts and establishing new contracts.
- Submit presentation proposals to local, regional, and national conferences.
- Provide consultative services for students, teachers, or classrooms identified by districts and schools.
- Meet with district and school administration to determine the level of support needed throughout buildings and classrooms based on the skills of the staff and the needs of the students.
- Assist district and school administration to develop their capacity to support students with autism spectrum disorders and other related disabilities.
- Train and coach district and school teams to implement the identified tools and strategies independently through modeling, guided feedback, questioning, and active listening to build capacity.
- Define, develop, and provide autism specific training packages, as requested by the program manager or director.
- Evaluate educational programs and services.
- Facilitate small and large group meetings (e.g., district leadership teams, classroom problem solving meetings) to guide programming and practices aligned to student needs.
- Provide consultation of the development, adaptation, and modification of curriculum to districts and schools.
- Deliver a range of training packages, as identified and requested by districts and schools
- Meet regularly with district and school teams to assess the need for additional technical assistance and evaluate effectiveness.
- Collect and analyze data and then use this information to guide work completed with districts and schools.
- Use technology and other tools to maintain appropriate records of all services provided to assigned districts.
- Maintain all district/school/student files and records on identified secure, shared server.
- Assist with coordination and execution of annual conferences for internal staff around current topics, trends, and evidence based instructional practices.
- Participate in quarterly leadership meetings and serves as a facilitator for a committee.
- Develop and drafts new presentations and training materials aligned to autism-specific evidence based practices and research trends.
- Provide in-home family training.
- Provide training and technical support to all internal autism programs, as requested by supervisor.
- Research, plan, and participate in networking and community outreach events to promote the autism programs.
- Prepare all reports, presentations, hand-outs, and training materials as required.
- Submit all developed materials for review by the director prior to implementation and in a timely manner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in behavior analysis, education, education administration, special education, or related field; OR
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or related field with equivalent experience
- A minimum of three years of experience implementing strategies and supports for students with autism spectrum disorders or related disabilities in the educational setting as a teacher, supervisor, or in a related role
- A minimum of three years of experience training and coaching others to use effective strategies and evidence-based supports with students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Experience working with families and schools/districts to facilitate a family-school partnerships
- Ability to meet the physical requirements to maintain certification in crisis intervention training, CPR, and First Aid.

- Must be available to attend frequent out of office meetings with flexibility required for occasional evenings and weekends.
- Experience developing, organizing, and managing action plans and projects.

- Experience using technology and other tools to collect, analyze, distribute, and display data.
- Familiarity with general education standards and public school districts.
- Knowledge of state and federal law that govern special education and disability services.
- Ability to work well with students of all ages, all levels of senior leadership, and stakeholders.
