Vaughn House

Lifelong Improvement through Fitness and Education

Vaughn House is now home to Easterseals' LIFE Program.

Physical activity is a crucial part of a healthy, happy, and independent life. But nearly half of all adult Americans living with disability do not have aerobic physical activity, which translates to being three times more likely to have heart disease, stroke, diabetes, or cancer. Physical activity is also important for mental and emotional well-being, offering a chance to focus on ability rather than disability.

The Easterseals LIFE Center is about helping people to experience LIFE - Lifelong Improvement through Fitness and Education. Through recreational activity, education, programs, and research the Easterseals LIFE Center will support children and adults with disabilities on their journey toward independence.

Including recreational opportunities, a state-of-the-art accessible fitness center, and research and clinical trial opportunities, the Easterseals LIFE Center will offer essential services to improve the physical and mental well-being of people with disabilities in order to support a more vibrant and healthier lifestyle.

The LIFE Center houses the Fit Ability Program, the Spinal and Neuro Recovery Program, and an Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility. For more information on any of our LIFE Center services, contact: (512) 615-6800. Need a form to send in? Jump to common forms for download.
