Staff Spotlight - Priscilla Mireles

priscilla mainBringing in the new year for our Staff Spotlight is Priscilla Mireles!! Priscilla is 27 years old and was born in Gilroy, CA. For 22 years of her life, she lived in Salinas, CA. She is the youngest of three and has a huge extended family. Her dad was one of 15 siblings and her mom is one of eight, so she is very family oriented. Priscilla lost her dad to cancer in 2015. It was a very tough time in life for her and still is at times, but she knows he’s always with her and looking out for her!

Everyone who is familiar with Priscilla knows she is an avid sports fan. The San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors and San Jose Sharks are her favorite teams. She loves traveling, and around her birthday (in November) every year, she attends an NFL away game. So far, she has been to four different NFL stadiums outside of California, and has visited Miami, Philadelphia, New York and recently Kansas City!

For just over three years now, Priscilla has been working in the Educational Services department with Easterseals Central California. Last year, she ventured into the Autism and Behavior Intervention Services department, and recently received her Registered Behavior Technician board certification. Priscilla is, “Very grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given through Easterseals to grow professionally. The biggest part of my job which motivates me is seeing improvement in my clients over time, and knowing I had something to do with their growth. It makes me want to work harder and do better to help them grow even more.”

In addition to working with children, she has also worked in the medical field as a medical assistant and a caregiver for the elderly. She has a lot of experience working and caring for others which has helped her with clients and problem solving.

“Priscilla has a teachable quality and a hardworking personality.  She is never too shy to reach out for help and always implements the suggestions from her Program Supervisor and BCBA in order to create a quality, therapeutic experience for her clients.” -Natalie Soto, MA-Program Supervisor
