We offer and collaborate with others to offer a variety of adaptive recreation activities for children and adults with disabilities. Activities are held after school, on weekends and during the summer.
"iCan Bike" formerly "Lose the Training Wheels" is a unique 5-day summer program experience to give individuals with disabilities the self confidence to learn to ride a two-wheel bicycle. Using specialized equipment, coaching and encouragement, children will "lose the training wheels!" For individuals with disabilities, learning to ride a bicycle has many benefits, such as increased confidence and self-esteem, inclusion with peers, independent transportation, and most important, increased quality of life through recreation.
Registration is open for this year's program. Complete the registration packet and return by mail or in-person (3500 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604) or by fax to 785-272-7912. For more information about iCan Bike, please contact our Intake Department or 785-272-4060.
