Transitioning from School to Summer


As the summer season and changes in schedules approach, be sure to plan ahead.
Help prepare your child for the upcoming differences in their daily activities. Using routines and rituals help each of us but they are particularly important to the success of children on the autism spectrum.

Routines and rituals are comfortable, predictable and offer great learning opportunities. When surroundings and schedules change children can become frustrated and upset because their setting is no longer comfortable or predictable.
