What do pumpkins and disability have in common? Each is unique in how we view it. Join us as we celebrate “EVERYTHING PUMPKIN” as artists showcase their own unique art pieces, benefitting Easterseals Capper Foundation through an online auction. Each artist is challenged with creating a work of art, using the medium of their choice, inspired by “EVERYTHING PUMPKIN”. Auction proceeds will benefit the individuals and families we serve. Many of the adults we serve have the opportunity to create paintings, crochet work, soaps and lotions, sculpting and more in our art studio. Each of them has the ability of express themselves through their art which develop dexterity, cognitive skills, eye/hand coordination and serves as an outlet of their talent.
The art pieces will be on display at Westar Energy (818 S. Kansas Ave.) starting at noon on October 2nd through 2:00 p.m. on October 6th. Then the pieces will be moved to Leaping Llama Artisan Shop (730 S. Kansas Ave.) for First Friday Art Walk. Bidding will start on October 2nd at noon and close at 8:00 p.m. on October 6th. Winning bidders may pick up their pieces(s) at Leaping Llama Artisan Shop on October 7th or at Easterseals Capper Foundation (3500 SW 10th Ave.) starting October 9th.
