"We must do more for the Children...." Those words, spoken by Easterseals' Capper Foundations’ founder Arthur Capper over 95 years ago, began a movement. Today, we're thankful to you for being a part of that movement. With over 50 million Americans living with disabilities, our work is far from complete. We encourage you to help us call attention to the experience of people with disabilities, and to raise awareness of and advocate for the services they need to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
“Volunteering for iCan Bike is one of my favorite weeks of the year. There is nothing like the feeling you get when you see the joy and sense of achievement on a person’s face when they are able to ride a bike for the first time! We tend to take for granted the things that come naturally or easily to us, so to be able to help somebody gain a little piece of independence is a truly amazing experience. That’s why I will continue to volunteer for iCan Bike each year.”
