My name is V Gutierrez-Osborne and I have been the Executive Director/CEO for Easterseals Alaska since 1991. I have had the honor of serving families across Alaska for over 30 years. Working with individuals who experience a disability, and seniors, has always been my passion.
Our Veterans Administration home care program holds a special place in my heart. Having the privilege of serving Veterans who have so proudly served our country has been such rewarding work. Being married to a Veteran and having a son who is an US Air Force Officer keeps this forever close to my heart. I feel fortunate to have these opportunities to serve those who have so selflessly served all of us.
As Executive Director I oversee all aspects of operations and programs. Upon hire at Easterseals so many years ago, I was able to take an organization in financial and programmatic distress and turn it around into a financially sound and thriving organization that assists Alaskans in need every day. This has only been possible by surrounding myself with the best team available. I am wise enough to know, that one cannot accomplish great things alone. Greatness requires a dedicated and professional team that is willing to put in the work day after day. That is exactly what we have built here at Easterseals Alaska. On any given day, if you call our office, you too will know of our hard work, commitment, and passion.
My entire adult life has been dedicated to serving others. My passion is to assist others in reaching their full potential. This extends to our clients, our staff, and our families. When we lift each other up, we all benefit and thrive as a community.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn New York, first generation to proud immigrants. I moved to Alaska in 1989 and have built a beautiful life here. I am happily married to my husband, Jay for over 26 years and we have two wonderful sons together. Life is good!
