Carol Profile Pic

My name is Carol Griffin. I’m the Director of PCA Services for Easterseals Alaska. My responsibilities include oversight of operations and support to the PCA, Private Pay and VA programs through policy, enrollment, regulations, and all day-to-day activities. Other duties involve overseeing staff and providing guidance and training with their duties and responsibilities. The most important aspect of my position is ensuring quality services are provided to all our clients on a day-to-day basis. I strive to achieve excellence of care in all situations.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from University of Alaska Anchorage. I am very dedicated and passionate about helping people. I have been a caregiver since I was 11 years old. I would help the elderly ladies in my neighborhood by going to the store or cleaning for them. Throughout the years I have worked in various settings with several populations. I held a license as Certified Nurses Aid for 22 years, been a Therapeutic Foster Parent, worked with adults that experienced mental health challenges, and I have owned and operated an Assisted Living Home for Seniors. I have always found the helping field to be a rewarding occupation to work in and I LOVE it!
I was taught to treat others the way that I would like to be treated. Working here at Easterseals allows me to continue to fulfill my passion by helping and caring for others.
I have lived in Alaska for 25 years. I’m originally from Arkansas. I’m happily married with two wonderful daughters and I’m a VERY proud grandmother to an AMAZING grandson! I enjoy spending time with family and friends by hosting cookouts. I also enjoy decorating and shopping. :)
