NEW BERN, N.C., December 22, 2016
Throughout North Carolina and Virginia, Easterseals UCP hosted nine Sensitive Santa events. Sensitive Santa is geared towards children with disabilities who rarely or never are able to visit Santa due to noise, distractions and long lines.
At Easterseals UCP, we know how challenging the mall or other Santa events can be.Therefore, thanks to sponsors such as Trillium Health Resources in North Carolina and Butler Portraits in Richmond, VA for making these events possible. Each event requires a reservation so special needs children can have a one on one quality visit with Jolly Ole St. Nick.
“We would like to thank you, for the amazing time my family spent at your Sensitive Santa event this year! My 7 year old son Elijah enjoyed his first time visiting with Santa Claus and his elves. Words can't explain the pride and joy I felt seeing Elijah happily eating cookies with Santa! Thank you Easter Seals for all that you do, not just at Christmas, but all throughout the year!” said the parents of Elijah Mosby, who attends the EMPOWER After School Program in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Easterseals UCP Staff and Santa were delighted to see so many children enjoy their memorable visit in this calm environment. From Easterseals UCP, we wish our families, our sponsors and our communities Happy and Safe Holidays.
