Easterseals UCP Foster Care Program Encourages a Young Woman To Follow Her Dreams

Durham, NC, June 18, 2018

Her name is Miracle and it couldn’t be more fitting.  This young woman has turned her life around with the support of the Easterseals UCP Foster Care Program.

foster careFour years ago, she began living with foster Mom, Ms. Gloria Couch.  Miracle was quiet, shy and introverted.  Thanks to the love and support she received from Ms. Couch, Miracle has blossomed into a beautiful young woman with a bright future.

This month, 18-year-old Miracle graduated from Hillside High School in Durham, NC.  She’s planning to attend NC Central University, also in Durham, where she will study computer engineering.  Miracle is no longer shy and is not afraid to advocate for herself or speak her mind.

foster care“Her Easterseals UCP family wishes her the best in her college years and beyond.  Shine bright Miracle!  We believe in you!” said Julie Bruce, Easterseals UCP Foster Care Program Supervisor.

Easterseals UCP is always looking for good homes with good families, parents, single parents and those who will open their door to a child in need.  All the support, training and reimbursement is provided.
