Presidents' Council

The Presidents' Council was created in 1995 to honor the annual leadership gifts of $1000 or more from individuals who share the belief that everyone living with a disability or special need deserves access to quality, comprehensive, compassionate programs and services. Any individual who provides an annual outright gift totaling $1000 or more in a 12-month period is recognized as a member of the Presidents' Council. Some friends pay in quarterly or monthly installments; others give a one-time gift each year.

You can become a member of the Presidents' Council on several different levels:

Independence Level — $25,000 and up
A teenager with multiple sclerosis can live at home, stay in high school and be near friends with year-round supportive living services, instead of being institutionalized.

Empowerment Level — $10,000 and up
Four children will learn to talk through speech therapy once a week, helping them succeed in school and communicate better with family and friends.

Opportunity Level — $5,000 and up
Twenty-five young adults will be able to do their own grocery shopping with independent living skiils training.

Dignity Level — $2,500 and up
A 55-year-old woman with post-polio syndrome can continue her active lifestyle – working, traveling, running errands, volunteering – with a scooter.

Ability level — $1,000 and up
