Jon Horowitch:

Jon Horowitch is committed to changing lives of individuals with disabilities and special needs. As President and Chief Executive Officer of Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA, he leads the region’s leading provider of intensive human services that address the holistic and evolving needs of individuals and families to maximize their independence, inclusion, and contributions to society.

Jon first joined Easter Seals as a member of the Board of Directors in 2007, and became Chief Operating Officer in 2011. In February 2017, Jon became President and Chief Executive Officer of the six site, $20 million not-for-profit service provider. He leads a staff of more than 200 dedicated professionals to create solutions for emerging needs – ensuring children with special needs realize their full potential, keeping seniors in the community and out of nursing homes, supporting caregivers in their vital and unsung role, and fully integrating veterans and military family members into our vibrant community.

Before joining Easter Seals, Jon was an executive at Capital One Financial Corporation, where he helped lead the company’s transition from an $80 billion credit card company to a $200 billion diversified financial services company.  Jon held various positions responsible for financial strategy, corporate planning and budgeting, asset/liability management, capital management and allocation, mergers and acquisitions, and development of governance and controls.

Prior to Capital One, Jon held similar roles at Global Crossing, the world’s first integrated global telecommunications provider, and Frontier Communications, a telecommunications services provider, for which Jon helped orchestrate the sale to Global Crossing in an $11 billion transaction.

For nearly 10 years before joining Frontier, Jon was an investment banker at First Boston (now Credit Suisse) where he served clients in the banking and financial services, telecommunications, airline, restaurant, and automobile sectors.  His product expertise includes equity and fixed income issuance as well as mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and structured finance.  At First Boston, Jon worked on the divestiture of a division of Frontier with their CEO, who then asked Jon to join the company as Vice President of Corporate Development.

Jon holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Mathematics and with honors in History from Williams College.
