In helping each child reach their full potential, Easterseals DC MD VA provides personalized child development and early intervention services to families. We administer a grant program on behalf of the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to support the implementation of the Quality Improvement Network (QIN), which is an Early Head Start-Childcare Partnership program model. Through the QIN program, we support family childcare providers in Washington, DC with early childhood development coaching, family engagement, enrolling children eligible to participate in QIN, providing mental health supports to children and families, and connecting families to support services.

Our Easterseals staff provide training and resources to 17 QIN family childcare providers in adherence to Head Start Program Performance Standards and research-based best practices. We support enrolling children with QIN family childcare providers located in Wards 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8 in the District of Columbia. We also connect families to comprehensive services such as family engagement and support, health and nutrition, mental health, and early intervention.

Together with QIN, Easterseals DC MD VA works to increase access and enhance the quality of care for infants and toddlers in the District.
