A Pirate Adventure and More at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center

Respite

Saturday, September 29, the Easterseals DC MD VA Respite Program will host a monthly respite event at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring. Captain Silly Bones will be sailing in on his pirate ship for a fun-filled day with children of military families.

The day will be packed with silly, pirate fun, including a treasure hunt, pirate story and reading, interactive and educational magic show, giveaways, and a special surprise. Lunch will also be provided for participants.

Each child will be paired with a volunteer to accompany him or her throughout the day. The pirate adventure will be all-inclusive, so children of all abilities from of our military families will be able to participate and enjoy.

The Easterseals Respite Program provides a range of support and enriching experiences for children with and without disabilities, from wounded warrior, military, and civilian families. For more information about our Respite Services, please visit us HERE.
