CHILDREN AT THE HARRY AND JEANETTE WEINBERG INTER-GENERATIONAL CENTER CELEBRATE GRADUATION AND KINDERGARTEN READINESS

The Safeway Inc. Child Development Center at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring, Maryland celebrated graduation with friends and family on Thursday, June 16. The graduation ceremony included special performances, song selections by the graduating class, a slideshow and display of the artwork preschool students prepared just for the ceremony. 

The Safeway Inc. Child Development Center in Silver Spring has been serving children and their families for nearly a decade. Services at this center include a learning culture based on the Creative Curriculum System and Teaching Strategies’ Gold--promoting a strong emphasis on Kindergarten readiness; inclusive programing; Little Warriors Scholarship Program; supportive therapy services for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays; nutritious food program; active parent participation group; parent teacher conferences and parent involvement activities; Make the First Five Count Assessment Ages and Stages Questionnairel enrichment program; interactive, inter-generational program, including regular programs and activities with the seniors of the Easter Seals Adult Day Medical Center; and credentialed and professional teachers and administrative staff who are committed to providing a welcoming, caring and safe and healthy environment.
